Default i love guildwars

i just want to say... that i love guildwars..

im one of the oldschool UO players who was spoiled and has hated every mmo he has ever played.. and i can honestly say this is a great game... great pve great pvp... it also reminds me alot of magic the gathering.. you collect your cards (by actually participating in an intriguing storyline) and you use them... you can re-roll at any time.. thank you ANET!!!!!!!!!!!

Not the word I'd use to describe the storylines.

The easy accessability of Guild Wars is its greatest advantage, especially in PvP. However, it does limit the depth of PvE...that's what World of Warcraft is for.

Glad to hear you like it but as you can tell from the person posting above me it does have it's downsides.

I can only agree, as someone else that generally doesn't care for MMO's, that this is a fantastic game. And mind you, I say that as someone who was playing the game from November of 2005, and a primarily PvE player to boot. You'll find that most of the detractors have been playing the game for ages and ages. They seem to be suprised that one can get bored with a game after playing for hundreds if not thousands of hours. For me, at least, this game's had one of the longest runs of any in my library and shows no sign of ceasing to entertain me anytime soon. When it inevitably does get old some day I hope I'll have the grace to leave quietly.

Another positive thread, you can never get tired of those.

First it was reconnects (godsend^^), now Anet is really taking a step up to improve their communications as well as increasing the community's involvement in what changes are made to the game. That's definately something worth keeping.

Somehow i have the idea that people who played magic the gathering tend to like gw more then others..

perhaps something about limited choices in your builds or so :P

and of course it's nice to hear someone saying he likes gw instead of flaming gw because of some vage reason...

Although all the good and bad things from Guild Wars, I just love it too. Just hope that the game can keep inovating and bring new things to motivate people to keep playing.

I don't guildwars because all players have been spead out over the campaigns so when i started a new character there was like no chance of getting a party in prophecies or factions....not to mention a monk....henchmen are lame i like to play with people...I liked guildwars alot better when the first campaign came out and there was just alot of people around to do quests with and stuff....maybe i'm just lonely

Who the heck are you talking about Bart?

Every game has it's downsides, but GW has more positive then negative. Especially the wurms.

Yeah, if WoW let me create a lvl 70 PvP-only character, I'd be playing that right now.

pvp is better than the pve in GW but that doesn't mean its bad... wow just has graphics that makes it belong on saturday morning cartoons... gw atleast looks realistic... best charecter models i gotta give up to lineage2 (dark elves thongs are FTW ) ... but the environments in that game are terrible...

gw has the best of both worlds and no amount of pve fun from wow can beat the thrill you get from GvG...
